Statue of Ismoil Somoni

The Statue of Ismoil Somoni in Dushanbe's central Dusti Square is a monumental symbol of Tajikistan's national identity. Erected in 1999 to mark the 1100th anniversary of the Samanid State, it pays tribute to Ismoil Somoni, the dynasty's founder and the revered "Father of the Nation." The impressive monument, standing over 25 meters tall, features Somoni beneath a towering arch crowned with a spectacular seven-star gold replica of the Samanid crown.
