Kamoli Khujandi Monument

The Kamoli Khujandi Monument, located in the city of Khujand (Hucend), Tajikistan, is dedicated to the great 14th-century Persian-Tajik poet Kamoli Khujandi (Kamal Khujandī). The poet is particularly renowned for his lyrical ghazals (odes); although he was born in Khujand, he spent most of his life and is buried in Tabriz (Iran). This monument in Khujand is a significant tribute to the city's cultural and literary heritage. The monument is the focal point of the Kamoli Khujandi Park (Culture and Recreation Park), which is named after the poet and is situated in the city center. The park is more than just a green relaxation area; it is a complex reflecting Tajik culture with its magnificent entrance gates, fountains, lush landscaping, and works of art. Within this park, besides the poet's statue, there is also a symbolic mausoleum (tomb-monument) dedicated to him and a house-museum. The monument serves as an important cultural attraction symbolizing Khujand's rich history and artistic spirit.
