National Museum of Tajikistan

The National Museum of Tajikistan is the largest cultural institution in the country, located in Dushanbe. It spans 24,000 m² and showcases Tajikistan’s rich history across four main departments. Established in 1934, the museum includes departments of natural history, ancient and medieval history, modern history, and fine arts. It houses rare artifacts such as the Hellenistic satyr statue from Takht-i Sangin. The museum serves as a vital center for preserving and presenting Tajikistan’s cultural heritage to both locals and international visitors.
