Ylym Monument

The Ylym Monument — Located in the heart of Ashgabat, it is a magnificent structure symbolizing respect for science, education, and cultural heritage. Opened in 2006, this monument was built to encourage young generations to pursue scientific development. The Ylym Monument is a column-shaped structure approximately 40 meters high made of white marble. Its top features a golden composition symbolizing the planets and the universe. Statues of scientists such as Makhtumkulu Firaki, Biruni, and Ibn Sina surround the monument. This structure symbolizes scientific progress, national heritage, and the state's education policy. Its colorful illumination at night adds a special beauty to Ashgabat's skyline.
