Ashgabat Train Station

Ashgabat Train Station (Aşgabat demir ýol menzili) is the primary railway hub in Turkmenistan's capital, Ashgabat. Originally constructed in 1888, the station was completely demolished during the 1948 earthquake and subsequently rebuilt in 1950. A major renovation, completed in 2009 by a Turkish company, gave the station its current modern appearance, featuring an exterior adorned with white marble and granite. Managed by Türkmendemirýollary, the station provides contemporary amenities for passengers, including a playground, mother and child rooms, cafés, weather-protected platforms, and underground passages. It stands as a crucial transportation center that successfully blends historical significance with modern-day functionality.
