Tashkent TV Tower
The Tashkent TV Tower is the tallest structure in Uzbekistan and Central Asia, standing at 375 meters. It was inaugurated on January 15, 1985. Construction began in 1978, and the tower was inaugurated on January 15, 1985. It serves television and radio broadcasting, as well as meteorological research. Engineered to withstand earthquakes up to magnitude 9, the tower includes 3 elevators, an observation deck at 97 meters, and a revolving restaurant. In 1991, it joined the World Federation of Great Towers and ranked 11th among more than 200 towers worldwide.
