Chorsu Bazaar

Chorsu Bazaar is a traditional market located in the heart of Old Tashkent. The name “Chorsu” comes from Tajik, meaning “crossroads” or “four streams.” Situated near Kukeldash Madrasah and across from Chorsu Metro Station, the bazaar’s iconic blue-domed building was constructed in 1980 in Soviet modernist style. Inside, vendors sell bread, spices, meat, produce, handicrafts, and local dishes. Chorsu Bazaar is not just a commercial hub but also a vibrant center of cultural life in Tashkent.
