Alisher Navoi National Park
Alisher Navoi National Park is one of the largest urban parks in Tashkent, covering 65 hectares in the city center. Founded in 1932 by members of the Komsomol organization on the site of a former brick factory quarry, it was known as Komsomolsky Park during the Soviet era. After independence, it was renamed in honor of Alisher Navoi, a revered 15th-century poet and statesman. The park features an artificial lake and canal network (9 ha), the Alley of Writers, Navoi’s monument, cycling paths, rest pavilions, and vibrant flower beds. It’s a peaceful retreat from city life and a beloved spot for locals and visitors alike.
