Jygylan Cape

Jygylan Cape is located in the northeastern part of the Tupkaragan Peninsula, within the Tupkaragan District of Mangystau Region, extending into the Mangystau Bay. The name “Jygylan” comes from the natural shape of the land, which has collapsed and eroded over time. This site is a geological formation created by movements in the Earth’s crust. Its terrain consists of deep ravines, steep cliffs, and fallen ridges. Due to its striking natural appearance, it is frequently visited by tourists and researchers. Geologically, it is very ancient and contributes to understanding the natural history of the Ustyurt Plateau. The area is also close to old caravan routes, adding historical significance.
