Mashkhur Jusup Mosque

The Mashkhur Jusup Mosque is a regional central mosque in Pavlodar, Kazakhstan, known for its distinctive architecture and spiritual significance. It was inaugurated in 2001. Construction began in 1999 and the mosque opened on September 5, 2001. The building has an octagonal design, inspired by Desht-i Kipchak architecture. Total area: 7240 m², capacity: 1500 worshippers. Dome height — 54 m, four minarets — 63 m. Facilities include a 400-seat dining hall, library, museum, video hall, and marriage room. The dome resembles a traditional Kazakh “shańyraq” (yurt crown), topped with a 1.2 m crescent. The mosque stands as a symbol of Kazakh spirituality and Islamic heritage.
